Hi, I lived in Kunming for 4 years before moving back to my home country.
At the moment, I am applying for the US greencard which requires the submission of police report/certificate
from the countries that I had lived in.
I have tried to contact the Chinese consulate in my country but they are not very helpful in giving information. The only thing that they mentioned is I have to go to the Public Security Bureau Exit-Entry Administration to obtain the report.
If this is true, I have to fly all the way to Kunming to obtain the report, which will burn a hole in my pocket as the ticket are really expensive.
Can someone please tell/ share any similar experiences in obtaining a police report from the Chinese government? Can a friend
in Kunming go on behalf of me to obtain the report?
