Hi all!

I'm planning a trip around yunnan with my boyfriend next week. We are spending one night in Dali and still have not figured out exactly how we are getting back to the airport in kunming before our 9pm flight. I know you can get buses from xiaguan to kunming, but I'm wondering if I need to book these in advance? And also are there any buses that actually go straight to the airport?

Any specific infor about this transportation would be so appreciated!

No you don't need to book the dali km bus in advance, but take an earlier bus by 3 hours in case of traffic jam or accident closure on highway. Buses km to airport from around xiaoximen and km train station. Airport bus takes about an hour, leaves every 25 min. The bus from dali is probably going to drop you off at Western bus terminal, which means you might as well just pay for a taxi to airport as your two people. Or take train from dali to km and walk to airport bus.

If time is an issue, there is also an airport outside Dali, with flights to Kunming.
