Hello everyone,

I will be attending KUST starting March 1, 2016. I will be arriving in Kunming in late January, but the problem is that I cannot move into the dorms until Feb. 25th. So I will have to find a place to stay for about one month until I can move into the dorms. Does anybody know of any good cheap hostels or hotels in Kunming that I could stay at for this length of time?

I would greatly appreciate any information regarding this.

If you check the classifieds on this website people always post rooms to rent.

Maybe msg a couple and see if a month would be OK as they're not pricey.

That will coincide with Chinese New Year, when many people are on break. You might want to make a classified ad of your own to see if anyone has an empty room to rent you

Occasionally, a married couple with a small child will advertise for free room and board (food), if you'll spend a few hours per day tutoring their child in English.

You MAY want to take a look at these ads (in the classifieds - search for FREE or FREE APARTMENT) - if that fits with your 30 days of lifestyle.

I can offer you a long term stay. a small room (about 14 15 m2) with bathroom, shower, and kitchen. And guess what, I don't charge you any money. you can stay as long as you need.
