seriously ..... sister you should kicked that son of a bitch on his nuts ...whatever maybe the reason whether its a racism fight or a street fight ....this kind of insane immoral assholes should not be spared at any cost ........ come on man ...its 21st century and atleast for the sake of humanity stop this kind of fucking attitude towards aliens ....and fairly its not expected from a country like china who proudly announce the global peace and brotherhood ....from now onwards my suggestion is that if ever you face this kind of horrible shattered situation face it boldly ......whatever may be the number of attackers be it 100 or a 1000 just get a hold of 1 or a 2 and smash his nuts so badly that the rest 100 fears to go for a second attack .....just fuck him in whatever ways you can ..make sure that from that moment he will stand as an example of a sick insect who just got pissed of in the hands of human due to his farty acts ......

I'd rather get into legal trouble than see my family's life put in danger by a local thug. Each to their own Xeifei.

@Haali He ran away after hitting us. He didn't take or attempt to grab anything. He didn't say a single word the entire encounter, so we can't know for sure what his motives or mental state was. The police thought race made sense because it was an awful approach for theft: the courtyard was full of people, it was in broad daylight (6:40pm, my phone had a notification so that's how we know), and both my aunt and I would have been easier targets. I mean, we're female, 5'2-5'4 tall, and had our purses slung around on our backs. It doesn't make sense to cause a scene by attacking the tallest, strongest member of the group.

Also, the assailant was well-dressed and clean-shaven. He looked like someone who was well-off.

As for his mental state... He smelled clean (no smoke or alcohol) and it was too early in the day for common drunkards. In the traffic cam footage, his fists were clenched when he was stalking us but his walking and running (after the assault) looked sober. He looked sober but enraged.

We think it was most likely a combination of race-related anger and emotional instability.

Thanks to everyone for your concern and support. I just hope things like this don't happen to others.

There was one time that i dropped my Chinese gf off home when a car full of Chinese guys pulled up and started saying something to my gf. I thought maybe they knew her until they sped off all of a sudden and my gf started causing at them. I didn't understand what they had said until after when she told me they were having a go at her for being with a foreigner. No violence, still pissed me off that they would judge her though.

Very strange Mags. I hope the police find him, question him about his motives, and punish him severely. I daresay it's unlikely that any of those things happen though. It perhaps could be a case of mistaken identity - someone who looked like your boyfriend had wronged him somehow? Or perhaps you look like the attackers ex, who knows!

What a strange thing to do. You must have met the local loon.

If no one was harmed or injured and the police know about it, why tell the Canadian embassy? - Absolutely nothing they can or will want to do about it. Most embassies are as much use as a chocolate teapot, it's just jobs for the boys.

Your boyfriend isn't Dudeson is he? He's a magnet for this kind of stuff.

@John_A, How awful! That kind of attitude is so ridiculous in this day and age. Where were you guys?

@Haali, I hope so, too. And who knows! That was an idea thrown around too.

@Napoleon, Hah, no, thankfully, he is not. He's a very Canadian boy - all about being nice to his mum, writing music, and always tries to empathize with others before judging. Not the type to have an ego or pull silly stunts. It's partly why I was so upset by the incident. I definitely cursed buckets at the assailant.

The G20 is coming, enough reason for beating up foreigners. As many countries will use the summit to ask about the bullying around China's borders.

Trust me it's very common to get you taste of xenophobia and the occassional beating. If it wouldn't be impolite and against the gokunming regulations, I would love to show the responses I got after the last thread. And maybe even those entitled snobby jerks living in luxury apartments, guarded by their foreign firms, would actually see what is going on in China.

But I won't get any further, I know the more I write the more the bullies here feel threatened by the truth and let it out on me.

Dear OP, if your Chinese is good enough, you will find plenty of attacks on foreigners including pictures online. Keep in mind that many police stations don't report it to their supervising departments.

Some only file it if you come back after 24h and file it again.

The attack on Nanpingjie, (also reported by Chinese people) never made it into the police files. For a lot of shady reasons.

Also it is very logical that people let out their frustration violently, in a country that promotes xenophobia and violence publicly and state sanctioned.

Plus, punishments for severely injuring a foreigner is in the range of being a misdemeanor.

I hope your bf will recover quickly and I am glad to hear, that he isn't such a terrible human being like me. Trying to warn others and defending myself from bullying and being ridiculed.

I apologize if people feel threatened by me and my words.
