It's not a non-stop flight! One stop over in Qingdao.
Yep, no better than the many other 1-stop flights that can be found from Kunming to the US.
Why?
@Alpage... I'll file that line in under forum classics. A non-stop flight with only one stop!
I've flown Kunming - Beijing - San Fran and Kunming - Shanghai - LAX. Why is any flight from Kunming to another Chinese city then connecting to a US destination news?
I agree, no better than any other 1-stop flight to the US.
News would be a be a direct, non-stop Kunming to US flight as would befit an international city and airport.
All flights have at least one stop. Non-stop flights don't really exist.
Always wishing for a non stop flight to London then I see one was added for Paris, was gutted!. So close but so far lol
Come on Changshui, up your game!
@redjon,
I just looked on Ctrip. Even that flight to Paris has at least one stop.
China Eastern keeps bragging about "links" to cities in other countries (from Kunming), but of course that's always been available if you have to fly to other cities.
What they are adding recently is direct flights to places like San Francisco from other coastal cities, not from Kunming.
I think a lot of it is about the planes they use and how much fuel those planes are able to carry.
That combined with to Chinese air companies full planes are the bottom line; even going somewhere close by can involve a quick stop to pick up passengers.
