I do want to clarify something. It would seem that many people are fixated by my mentioning of two camps but over looked my other point. I had said, "this either/or dichotomy forces the moderates which are the majority, to either align with one school of though or to tune out altogether." So, @Alien you are correct in that "not everyone has joined one or the other of your two camps." But I had already said this, thank you for repeating what I said.

@michael, thank you for your support, but honestly, any objectively thinking newbie would've been turned off by the acrimony long ago, my constructive comments would be akin to polishing an excrement.

And I'm not so sure adding ranking would be the solution because that "worked" so well for yahoo. Unless of course, once a certain threshold is reached, the comment is deleted. But if that is implemented, you'll soon find the forums will be devoid of any meaningful dialog.
