Something I learned about Zika is that the mosquito that spreads it in S America is active during the day as well as at night. I am not sure if it is the same mosquito as the Asian one.

@Alien

Are you seeing something that's not there?

It's a competition of elite athletes competing to be the best in their sports. If it's anything else to you perhaps it's time you slapped yourself good and hard in the face.

Since the games started it's been a target for loons, conspiracy theorists, Europeans and Yanks who would rather have the games staged in their own back yards for any assortment of ridiculous reasons, TV schedulers and people who are determined to turn the Olympics into something it's not.

Up to now the games are going fine, despite my country having yet to win a medal, and all the naysayers are looking a bit like the sad bastards they probably are.

i think everybody will admit that 95% of the olympic moments are just extraordinary and epicly BORING....

Big and heavily hyped is obvious; teams are all national teams. Everybody wants 'my COUNTRY' to win. Maybe that's okay, but it carries over, and is a carryover. Root a toot toot.
Great athletes, great sport, yes.

@alien without the nationalism part that would be even more boring, like showing a chess or a ramino game to somebody who doesnt care about it, such a torture...
