Hi,
My girlfriend will be coming to Kunming over the summer and will be here for 2 months (June-August) and wants to teach English (or be a teaching assistant in a school). She would like to be paid for the work (if possible) as well. She has not finished her bachelor's degree but she's proficient in Mandarin.
Any suggestions or leads for then would be very helpful.
Thanks!
What you're saying is that she'll be here on a visitor's visa. That means no work is permitted and if caught she'll be deported.
She's currently on a student visa in Harbin.
Its illegal to work on spouse visa, tourist visa, family visa, tourist visa. Hope she gets fined, detained, and deported.
Laofengzi: why hope that?
I am looking for help, not for malicious responses. There is no need to attack my girlfriend!
I know that about visas restrictions but people do short term work all the time under the table in China. Volunteer work is also acceptable. Thanks!
She has no formal education, and unable to get the correct visa. seems like she is hopping around china because of crack downs on this problem.
I am looking for short-term SUMMER position, not a full-time professional position. There is a big difference.
Uh, no, you don't know ANYTHING about her. She's a college student whose been studying Mandarin this academic year in Harbin and wants to work in Kunming over the summer before she goes back to the US to finish her bachelors degree in Comparative Lit and Chinese studies. How about you not make unfound assumptions about people you don't know.
