Toilet Plunger

bluppfisk (398 posts) • 0

the plunger is definitely the most environmentally-friendly way to solve it though, not requiring repeated flushes. Plungers also work really well but remember that the plunger head must be submerged for it to work. The sealing by rubber and water of air in the pipe is what makes it go pop.

Everytime I get a crapper clogged, it just takes one or two stabs with the plunger. No need to waste already scarce water in Yunnan.

Scarce water? it doesn't seem that way, it falls from the sky every other day.

When people say waste water, that water doesn't vanish you know, most of it is treated and back in the system in next to no time.
What people mean is when they say stop wasting water is use less water so the water board charges me less money.

@Napoleon: Yeah, it's got to be treated, so your water bill goes up. But why were there water cuts during the 4-5 years of Spring drought (2009-13 or so), and why were we told not to waste water during that time?

@Navyvet. Now you know why there is a waste paper bin with tissue paper in it, in most bathrooms you visit.
Even if your toilet can handle the load, it does not mean that the building's plumbing will. If you do cause a block in the building, they will know it was you.
