What a joke...

Is the OP serious?

I say this because one of the first things I noticed here in China is how Chinese people are always complaining about everything...

Message to the OP

Most things we foreigners complain about is in line with Beijing's policies.
Beijing,(the central government) wants people to stand in cue, not spit everywhere, be polite and courteous....the list is long.
Driving habits of locals which we complain about are in violation of Beijing's rules..
Therefore we ( the foreigners) are on Beijing's side.
Whenever a post or article on government corruption arises it's always targeting local officials or provincial officials, again in line with Beijing's laws.

Summary: Beijing wants you locals to BE like "proper" foreigners.
Obey laws and care for others.

100% correct.

The government don't want you to criticize them because 'they' are trying to clean up the government and they don't need us foreigners bad mouthing them which I totally understand. It's not easy pleasing 1. 3 Billion people. It's not easy fighting corruption. It's not easy undoing years and years of neglect and abuse.

This is about a wooly headed university kid, probably an English major, reviewing her notes to gain her patriot badge. Indulge them too much and the'll never be off your back.

It's funny, the three people here who complain and whine most about China, get mad, defensive when you say something bad about their countries.
