What if China and America...

Most citizens of modern countries give in to the nationalist trick of blaming the citizens of 'enemy countries' for the actions of the governments that control them & 'educate' them. One can certainly expect this to happen in China. Would probably be best to flee the camp. However, if governments of superpowers are so nasty & irresponsible as to start wars in this day & age, with all the weaponry available on both sides, I'm not too sure where one might want to go.
More likely, however, would be small limited engagements that the indoctrinated masses would get excited about - good to keep one's head down in such situations & wait for them to blow over.

Maybe going to Thailand or Vietnam might no be a bad idea.

Yeah, depends on how badly the situation might develop. But I'm not overly worried about it for the present, & I don't think others should be either - just try not to add to the universal species-wide collective insanity.

PS Yankee is right about the plight of Japanese-Americans during WWII, though nationalist-racist hysteria in the US might well have been a danger to them as well - old tradition, cf reactions towards US citizens of partial German descent during WWI. The same bs pops up almost everywhere, especially when economic & political elites disagree about how they will control the planet.

I've heard that Korean citizens in China were attacked during anti-Japanese protests few years ago. Locals mistook them for Japanese. If (unlikely) China and USA start a war, eventhough I'm not American, I will immediately leave China. However, if China and USA will be at war is there any safe place to go? I don't think so.

The USA has been at war in the middle east for almost 14 years, if not longer, not including clandestine operations. China and Japan have essentially been propping up the USA's war machine through their purchase of sovereign bonds.

I'm assuming that if the USA really wanted to incite world war 3 - china would dump their treasuries on the open market - plunging the USD dollar. Japan would try to snap up those bonds to salvage their buddy, the USA, driving up their yen (not a good thing) pushing Japan into a deeper recession.

The EU would stand by and watch, since it's essentially none of their business and they're tired of supporting the USA's war machines with marginal benefits.

The USA's encroachment and utter destabilization of the middle east resulted in massive contracts for US firms (oil & telecoms), some excellent crumbs for the Japanese (although they weren't technically involved), and sparse crumbs for their EU allies (minus France who intelligently refused to be drawn in to the WMD fiasco). So while the EU were sending troops - they weren't recouping those expenses through significant exploitive contracts with the Iraqis.

It's a rather pessimistic perspective - but when it walks like colonialism, quacks like colonialism, and the USA maintains a massive number of military bases and pseudo-bases (e.g. Australia), it reeks of aggressive colonialism.

As for white Americans living here - learn to fake a french or spanish (pretend you're South American) accent.

Didn't bother to read earlier posts. What island are we fighting over? Guam or Hawaii?

Wait, did Alien just slipped in a justification for the unlawful detainment of law abiding US citizen because of social hysteria. Well! I guess us expats should all be round up for our own protection.

In regards to the possible future war prospects, two words, "proxy war"
