Obviously policing the classifieds would be way too difficult, but thought you should know that in the case of Marriott hotels, they specifically state the company does not recruit using local websites or newspapers (their words). I think any recruitment classifieds here claiming to be from a Marriott is a scam. It also seems there's a lot of fraud in their name, because they have a very large section on their jobs page dedicated about it.

The trick, which hasn't been revealed yet - is when they ask you to post/send/wire some nominal money to "pay" for the expenses of sending you airplane tickets or some other fake commodity.

Fortunately - you were able to discover the fraud before you sent these thieves cash.
