i am looking for english books for beginners aged between 8 and 15

there does not seem to b much choice except new concept english and side by side

any clues, please?

Interchange is available in most chinese bookstores. There's a Teacher's Edition for all books. Check out Taobao. It might be cheaper

Does Cutting Edge make books for that age and level? I have always had very good experiences with Cutting Edge. Also try the Project series: really good.

Cutting Edge and Interchange would be suitable for 15 year olds, but not 8 year old students.
I think it would be difficult to find a book that has content of interest for SS aged between 8 and 15.

Macmillan publishers seem to cover a wider range of levels and age specific content. As well as offering AmE and BrE. Macmillan also have a rep office in China. Although it can be cheaper and faster to buy direct from UK. You can browse the catalogue here www.macmillanenglish.com/
Even if you don't buy from Macmillan, just looking at the products gives you an idea of the different age specific content there is.

Sylvan learning has books available that would be suitable for very young children. You can find them on Amazon.cn

the Junior new concept English is good for that age group since it would be level 1.
