Conceived by senior members and endeavouring business owners, Luminaries Toastmasters Club is the first English club in the southern city.

The title “luminaries” is best illustrated in a poetic line: as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. The light, we believe, can be made natural in appropriate environment. We therefore strive to provide such an open and enterprising environment in which all can share their unique experiences, values, skills and even their ways of thinking. As a result, we may expect that one’s light brightens someone else’s blind side.

So come and join us as a luminary. As long as you have expectations on yourself, do not take things for granted, and are capable of basic English communication, your work or education will be the least we care about, and you are welcome to share, to listen, to rejoice. And then shine like a star.
