Professor Kjell Espmark, now an 86-year-old Swedish poet, literate, lifelong Academician of the Swedish Academy, and Former Chairman of the Nobel Prize in Literature Jury (1987- 2004) is coming to visit Yunnan University for lectures and TCG Nordica to attend the Poetry Night we put up in honour of his visit.
Professor Kjell Espmark won Swedish Bellman Prize in Literature, Transtromer Literary Award, The DeNiro Literature Prize of Italy, and many other important literature awards. He fully deserves the reputation of a master in literature in contemporary literary world.

Thomas Transtroemer is the T in our TCG Nordica (Transtroemer, Café and Gallery). Transtromer was a highly accepted poet from Sweden and a important figure for who TCG Nordica has become today. Thomas Transtromer acknowledged TCG Nordicas as a unique culture center and for our use of his name.

Thomas Transtromer won the Nobel Prize of literature in 2011. This year is his 5th year anniversary and this night we will honour him by reading some of his poems.

Thomas Transtromer also has an award named after him in Sweden called: Trastromer Literary Award, which our visitor Kjell Espmark once won.

This night in cooperation with Yunnan University we will have:
Live music (Gu Zheng) ,

Invited people to read poems,
the Performance Art group “Paper”will have a performance
and we will have open stage to share and read more poems.

We are looking forward to share this intellectual poetry night with everyone.
Literates and artists of any kind will hopefully be inspired by attending this event.
