Saturday: Professional boxing at Kunming stadium
Yunnan native light flyweight boxer Xiong Chaozhong will fight in one of several bouts at the WBC Asian Boxing Championships on Saturday. More information about Xiong and tickets to the event is available here.

Saturday: Artist-in-residence exhibition opening
Participants in 943 Studio's international artist-in-residence program will hold a fifth annual exhibition Saturday at the Yunnan University Art Gallery in the science building at Yunnan University. The mixed media art exhibition will have works by more than a dozen artists from around the globe. The opening is at 8pm with and the exhibition will run until December 23.

Singaporean rock band Labeled Free (自由标签) plays TCG Nordica on Saturday. The 8pm concert is free.

Rock bands Huangse Tiaoma (黄色条码), Mr. U&D (上下先生) and Mayuan Shiren (麻园诗人) will play a joint concert at Nashville Bar on Saturday night. The 8pm show costs 20 yuan.

Metal band Dark Cosmos (黑宇) will hold a video launch party and concert at Art Space 1 at Loft Jinding 1919 on Saturday. Tickets to the 9pm event are 40 yuan.

Saturday: 1st Kunming Air Guitar Championships at The Hump Bar
It's the event we've all been waiting for: some brave souls will drag out their finest spandex tights, queue up their favorite rock tune and flail around The Hump Bar's stage playing a non-existent guitar with all their heart. Sunday: Brunch at Lazy Bones
Lazy Bones will hold its weekly brunch on Sunday with goodies like English and American breakfasts, pancakes, French toast, eggs, hamburgers, pork ribs, chicken parmesan, chicken parmesan with pesto, meatball subs, a make-your-own bloody mary bar, mimosas and beer specials. The meal will run from noon to 5pm.

Sunday: KIWI meeting at Slice of Heaven
It's the third Sunday of the month, which means its time for the Kunming International Wine Imbibers (KIWI) club to meet at Slice of Heaven. Bring or buy an imported bottle of wine costing 60 yuan or less and enjoy the conversation. The event starts at 5:30pm and lasts through the evening.
